Chana chat

Chana chat as a salad or evening snack has always been one of my favourite. The boiled black chickpeas makes a tangy and spicy evening snack. What a healthy mini meal to satisfy our taste buds. After a tiring day such small powerpack snacks are just awesum to energise you. So very easy and quick to make.
These days such nutritive power pack snackings is the need of young people.
This chat is often sold on beaches in mumbai as well as near the railway stations. Quiet similar to the green chana chat people make.

You can convert a boring salad into a flavorful and tasty chat. Yes, this black chickpeas chat is spicy, tangy and can be really hot if you add more chillies to it.
It can also be served as an excellent starter and enjoyed warm or chilled as liked.

Here it goes.... Well I keep changing ingredients and style of making chat ... this one is very simple yet lip smacking.

Boiled chana 4 cups ( I always preserve some whenever I make kala chana in meals 😂😂)

Onion 1 big chopped
green coriander leaves _ chopped 1/4 cup
Grated carrots and raddish 1/2 cup
And little grated coconut 1/4 cup.
chopped cucumber 1/4 cup (i skipped as it wasnt available),
crumbled paneer 1/4 cup (optional)

For seasoning and tadka _
Rai, kari patta, salt, red chilly powder, jeera powder ( freshly crushed), chat masala n lemon juice (optional).

In a pan give tadka of rai, kari patta.
Put all ingredients mentioned above one by one. Mix well.
Cook only for one_two minutes.
Sprinkle lemon juice. If you wish can add little black pepper too.

Also you can make it a spicy one... by adding green chutney and tossing just before serving but its your wish.
