Besides steamed idli dhokla and oats , even pulses or grain could be easily included in our breakfast. Moth is another grain we eat as whole cooked, sprouted or even as daal.
Another excellent source of nutrients and powerpack snack.
Blended with right ingredients it makes a yummy mini meal. My secret chatpate moths are the favourite in my home.
These lentils need to be soaked well enough before being cooked. Not only in breakfast these taste yum as evening tea snacks. Mine is very simple basic preparation and believe me this taste superb simple.
Moth ( soaked overnight) 3 cups
Jeera 2 tsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Haldi 1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder 2 tsp
Green chilly chopped 1tsp
Amchur powder 1 tsp
Jeera powder 1 tsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
In cooker add oil. Add jeera.
Add chopped onions and potatoes. Saute for a minute. Add haldi, hing. Saute.
Add moth. Saute for another 2 mins.
Add rest dry ingredients and salt.
Add water till it moth gets sinked.
Give 3_4 whistles on medium flame.
Garnish with green coriander leaves. Sprinkle lemon juice on it.
Can add chopped onion on top.
