Be it Chana chat, or Sprouted moong chat, or Papdi chat.In India we have umpteen numbers of chat varities.
Me being foodie loves all kinds of chats and keep experimenting. But health being focus I always make a point to pick right ingredients.
Some of the famous chats in India are tikki chat of north, ragda pattice of west, batata tikki chat of east. Few variation in chats are dahi papdi chat, chohle tikki chat, etc. Most of them or say 90% of the chat includes boiled potatoes, mashed and deep fried in oil preparation. But will you be able to imagine anything healthy replacing this old fashioned potatoes tikki in a chat. Well if you cant rethink.
Here I am sharing a healthy yet yummy treat... moong dal chat, I learnt from a friend and it was an instant hit at my home.
1 bowl boiled moong
1/3 bowl whisked yogurt
1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds
1/2 tsp grated ginger
1/2 tsp red chilly pwdr
Salt as per taste
Little boiled alu
Boondi (crunchy or soft as per ur choice)
1 green chili ( chopped )
1 chopped onion
Sev for garnishing
Green/ mint chutney
■ Take a bowl.Arrange moong dal then sprinkle yogurt.
■ Mix all ingredients together up and spread over moong upto your taste.
■ Garnish it with sev.
■ Your yummy, healthy MOONG CHAT is ready....
